The TeamLCTFL End-of-the-Year Wrap Up!

It's almost the end of the year (and almost our group's first anniversary!), so here's a summary of where we are both as a group and as individual writers. Plus, we're all setting writing goals for 2023—and you should, too! Because the best way to make sure they happen is to set an intention, and then go after it.  Or as TeamLCTFL member Jody Gerbig puts it: "You have to say your goals out loud and believe there is no other option." Boom, Jody. Telling it like it is. That's one of the reasons we love her! 

"I'm getting ready to dip a toe in the query pool, and for 2023 I'd love to attend a conference and complete book two." —Robin

"I'm in the midst of mapping out sharper scene goals and motivation for each scene in my WIP. After struggling with Scrivener FOREVER, I am finally experiencing its magic. Each of my scenes is tagged with To Do, Revised Draft or Final Draft, and I have my scene goals in the Notes column on the right, serving as a visible reminder to me as I revise. In the first quarter of 2023, it's (hopefully) off to the query trenches for me!"    —Audrey

"I'm hard at work perfecting my WIP with my agent and getting ready for next steps. As for 2023, I'm excited to start work on a new project." —Jody

“Currently, I’m embracing the flaws of my MC while rewriting a novel. My 2023 goals include completing my current WIP and getting an agent. Also, I’d like to self-publish a poetry book as a side project.” —Jes

"I'm finishing up revisions on my manuscript and getting ready to go on sub in 2023, all the while cooking up ideas for my next story!" —Katy

"I’m aiming to finish the first draft of my second novel in the new year and meanwhile having a blast selecting a cover design for IF I LOSE HER." —Brianne

"I’m working on my latest NaNoWriMo project and aim to have it ready to send to a developmental editor in early March—while also querying last year’s Nano project. My ultimate dream goal: To land an agent and a two book deal in 2023…" —Mary 

"I'm finishing up my WIP with plans to submit to the rest of TeamLCTFL by Jan. 1!" —Natalie
